Description
Raw Texture, Modern Simplicity — microcement, gold, braided cord
Microcement — rough expansion, pores, and demould marks are intentional
Microcement shades are cast in moulds and air-dried rather than fired. During drying, natural pores form throughout the surface. Where the mould releases, faint edge marks may remain. These characteristics — the grain, the pores, the slight irregularity at the rim — are deliberate expressions of the material’s nature. They are what give each shade its raw, hand-crafted presence. They are not defects.

Features
Cast Microcement
Mould-cast and air-dried — porous, raw surface texture, each piece naturally unique.
Gold Brass Fitting
Warm gold E14 holder and canopy — the only polished element against the raw cement.
4 Silhouettes
Fluted dome / wide disc / slim cylinder / compact bowl — cluster or hang individually.
Models
Each model is a distinct silhouette. All share the same cement grey finish and gold E14 fitting. Can be ordered individually or clustered.

Cluster A + B + C at different drop heights
Models A, B, and C installed in a cluster above a dining table — the wide disc (B) highest, the dome (A) mid-drop, the slim cylinder (C) lowest — creates a sculptural composition that works especially well in spaces with exposed ceilings or wabi-sabi interiors.
Bulb & Light Source
E14 (small screw) — bulb not included
Compatible with E14 LED and Edison filament candle or globe bulbs. A warm-white E14 LED at 2700–3000 K is recommended — the warm amber tone complements the raw cement grey and the gold brass fitting, producing a soft pool of light that enhances the shadow texture of the cement surface. A 4–6W E14 LED is appropriate for the compact scale of all four models. An E14 Edison filament candle or globe bulb works particularly well in Model C (slim cylinder) where the exposed bulb is partially visible at the open base.

Frequently Asked QuestionsThere are pores and edge marks on my lamp shade. Is something wrong?
No — these are defining characteristics of microcement, not defects. Microcement is formed in a mould and air-dried rather than fired in a kiln. During the drying process, gases escaping from the material form natural pores throughout the surface. Where the mould releases, faint marks may remain at the rim or edges. Both of these — the porous texture and the demould marks — are inherent to the production process and contribute to the raw, artisanal quality of the shade. They cannot and should not be repaired.
Which model is best for a dining table?
Model B (Wide Disc, ∅ 25 cm) provides the broadest spread of downward light and works well as a solo pendant over a small round or 2-seat dining table. For a 4–6 seat dining table, clustering 3 pendants — such as A + B + C at different drop heights — creates a composed, sculptural installation that covers the full table length and adds visual depth. Model A (Fluted Dome) is the most versatile single pendant for a kitchen island or café-style counter.
Can I clean the cement shade?
Dust with a soft dry brush or use low-pressure compressed air. Do not use wet cloths, water, or any cleaning solution on the cement surface — microcement can absorb liquids and stain permanently. The gold brass fitting can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid all abrasive contact with the cement, which will damage the surface texture. The shade is not waterproof and should not be installed in bathrooms or kitchens where steam or water contact is likely.
Is the Microcement Pendant certified for North America and Europe?
Yes. It holds certifications compatible with North America, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and Australia and operates on AC 110–240V worldwide.
