The Alabaster Torus — Double-Ring Spanish Alabaster Chandelier

Two concentric alabaster rings — each a continuous torus of Spanish stone, 15 cm in cross-section — suspend from fine black cables at staggered heights, creating a layered halo effect beneath the ceiling. Each segment is cut from the same quarry block and matched so the natural veining reads as a single uninterrupted flow around the full circle. Spanish alabaster is semi-translucent: when lit, the integrated LED within each torus radiates warm 3000K light directly through the stone, turning the golden-amber veins luminous and alive. Available in four double-ring diameter combinations to suit dining rooms, entry foyers, hotel lobbies, and double-height living spaces.

Spanish alabaster is a natural stone — vein color, pattern density, and surface tone vary between sections and between pieces. This variation is the defining characteristic of the material, not a defect. No two Alabaster Torus chandeliers are identical.

Choosing your size

For a dining table up to 120 cm long, the 80+40 cm works well. For 150–200 cm dining tables or open living areas, the 100+60 cm is the standard choice. The 120+80 cm suits hotel lobbies, double-height foyers, and large open-plan spaces. As a rule, the outer ring diameter should be approximately two-thirds the width of the table or space below it.

Installation Notes

• Hardwired ceiling installation — a licensed electrician is required. The weight of alabaster stone means structural ceiling fixings must be confirmed before installation.
• Default suspension rod length is 100 cm. If a longer drop is needed, contact us before ordering and we will arrange an extended rod.
• Integrated LED — the light source is not user-replaceable. Rated for extended use; contact our support team for warranty service.
• Compatible with standard wall switch (not included). Not dimmable unless a compatible LED dimmer is specified at time of order — contact us to confirm.

Spanish alabaster is a fine-grained natural gypsum stone quarried primarily in Aragon, Spain. It is prized for its semi-translucency — when a light source is placed inside or behind it, the stone glows from within, revealing the depth and complexity of its internal veining. The warm amber and golden tones of Spanish alabaster are distinct from the cooler whites of Italian alabaster and create a richer, more amber-toned glow at 3000K.

Will the alabaster look the same as in the product photos?

The overall amber-gold tone and vein character will be consistent with the product photography, but vein density, pattern placement, and exact color saturation vary between stone sections — that is inherent to natural stone. The piece you receive will be unique. Product photos represent the material character accurately; they cannot show the exact pattern of your specific stone.

How long is the default suspension rod, and can it be extended?

The default rod length is 100 cm. If your ceiling height or preferred installation position requires a longer drop, contact us before placing your order — we will arrange the correct rod length and advise on the best hanging height for your specific space.

Which configuration is right for my dining table?

As a general guide, the outer ring diameter should be approximately two-thirds the length of your dining table. For a 150 cm table, the 100+60 cm configuration is the standard recommendation. For round dining tables, match the outer ring to roughly the table’s own diameter. The 120+80 cm is better suited to large open-plan living areas, hotel lobbies, and double-height entry foyers.

Does the chandelier need a structural ceiling fixing?

Yes. Natural alabaster is a dense stone and the chandelier carries significant weight. A licensed electrician should confirm that the ceiling junction box and surrounding structure can support the load before installation. This is especially important for larger configurations (100+60 cm and above). We recommend sharing the product Spec Sheet with your electrician before installation planning begins.
