Description
Grid Glass Pendant Light — tiered prismatic glass, gold chain, light & shadow play.
Three concentric tiers of clear prismatic grid glass — each panel etched with a fine square grid pattern — step outward and downward from a polished gold collar and chain, forming a wide, flat silhouette that is simultaneously architectural and jewel-like. The grid pattern refracts and scatters the light in all directions, casting intricate geometric shadow patterns across the ceiling, walls, and surfaces below. By day it is a crystal sculpture; by night it transforms the room into a composition of light and repeating shadow. A single pendant at ∅ 48 cm creates significant visual impact over a dining table or kitchen island.
Clear prismatic glass — the bulb is visible
Unlike frosted or opal glass, this shade is clear — the E26/E27 bulb inside the collar is partially visible through the upper tier of the shade. An Edison filament globe bulb is the intended pairing — the filament becomes part of the composition and adds warmth to the grid light pattern. A frosted LED will work but the visual effect will differ from the product photographs.

Bulb & Light Source
E26 (US/CA) or E27 (EU/AU) — bulb not included
An Edison filament globe bulb (G25 / G30, warm white 2200–2700 K) is the intended pairing — the visible filament adds warmth and visual interest through the clear glass, and the warm light dramatically amplifies the grid refraction pattern on surrounding surfaces. A standard A-shape E26/E27 LED at 8–10W will work and provide better energy efficiency, but a frosted LED bulb will reduce the grid shadow effect. For the fullest light-and-shadow composition, choose a clear globe Edison or a clear globe LED with visible components.
Guide to E26 and E27 bulb selection →
The grid shadow effect is maximised by warm, directional light
A warm 2200–2700 K bulb produces the richest amber-toned grid reflections on your ceiling and walls. Neutral or cool white (4000K+) still creates the shadow pattern but with a less atmospheric, cooler tone. The effect is most visible on white or light-coloured surfaces — dark walls will absorb rather than display the grid projection.

Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat kind of shadow pattern does the grid glass create?
The fine square grid etched into the glass acts as a prismatic lens — it refracts and scatters the light in radial patterns across the ceiling and surrounding walls. The pattern is a series of concentric grid reflections that shift as you move around the room. The effect is most dramatic on white ceilings and walls, and most intense with a warm filament bulb (2200–2700 K) at full brightness. At dimmed levels the pattern becomes softer and more atmospheric.
Is the bulb visible through the glass?
Partially — the shade is clear prismatic glass, not frosted or opal. The E26/E27 socket and collar sit at the top of the shade and the bulb is partially visible through the upper tier. This is why an Edison filament globe bulb is recommended — the visible filament adds to the composition rather than detracting from it. If you prefer the bulb to be invisible, this pendant is not the right choice; consider the Funnel Brass Glass Pendant (opal glass) instead.
How high should the pendant hang above a dining table?
For a dining table the standard guidance is 70–80 cm between the bottom of the shade and the table surface. At ∅ 48 cm and H 23 cm, this pendant makes a strong statement without crowding the table. Because the grid pattern projects upward and outward, a slightly higher position (80–90 cm above the table) can actually improve the room-scale shadow effect by allowing the projections to spread further across the ceiling.
Is the Grid Glass Pendant certified for North America and Europe?
Yes. It holds certifications compatible with North America, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and Australia and operates on AC 110–240V worldwide.
