The lamp provides 1.75x – 4x magnification for strain-free, industrial inspection applications. The new 1.75x (3 diopter) ESD-Safe desktop magnifying lamps have special polymers, dissipating black paints and electrical layout designed to minimize electrostatic discharge in sensitive electronic environments. The viewing lens is a large, 4-inch diameter, precision ground, crown glass with the optical quality of prescription eyewear which provides for near-zero light refraction or dispersion. When more magnification is needed, a 12-diopter insert placed near the rim allows for convenient spot-magnification of 4x without needing to switch to a more powerful magnifier. The circular, energy-saving 35-LED illumination provides even, shadow-free light under the magnifying lens for crystal-clear images, reduced glare and better contrast compared to other lighting types. The spring-powered metal arm extends 13 inches in height and 12 inches horizontally to position your light source and lens exactly where you need it. In addition, the lens mount can pivot around the support arm to allow viewing from the vertical, horizontal, or any angle in between.
